Community-driven brands
in a world of constant scrolling.

In anticipation of significant market shifts projected for 2023, including the decline of MER and attribution, the first installment of Office Hours focused on the establishment of community-driven brands to effectively address those challenges. We discussed different approaches in creating a brand community, breaking in and establishing a subculture, measuring the success of community-building initiatives and strategies for culture expansion.

The panelists for the event include founders of some of the fastest-growing community brands in the NYC commerce community including Tim West (Co-Founder and Creative Director of Bandit Running), Jackie Burke (Founder of Tini Lux), and Kevin Lee (Co-Founder of Immi).

Tim West

Tim West is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Bandit Running, a NYC-based running brand with the mission of evolving the full experience of running. Their vision is to be the world’s most authentic, community-driven running brand.

Jackie Burke

Jackie Burke is the engineer turned entrepreneur behind the “life changing” jewelry brand, Tini Lux. She studied engineering at RPI and Johns Hopkins, then started her career as a Systems Engineer for the Department of Defense at a leading national research laboratory.

Kevin Lee

Kevin Lee is the co-founder of Immi, a better-for-you instant ramen brand enabling greater access to healthy staple alternatives. Previously, he led food & beverage investing as a Principal VC at Pear Ventures and is an angel investor in 30+ companies.
